Eric De Santis has nearly 15 years of experience in the finance and distressed debt sectors and has led or played a material role in the restructuring of numerous credits, both in and out of bankruptcy.
Prior to joining M-III, Eric served as Executive Director at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in New York, where he managed portfolios of distressed credits with the goal of maximizing value in an efficient manner. The credits spanned a variety of sectors, including large corporate, project finance and real estate, as well as a variety of industries. Among others, his experience has included work with companies in utilities, oil & gas, hotels, multifamily apartment complexes, retail shopping centers, alternative energy projects, office complexes, construction services, equipment rental, steel fabrication, air cargo, telecom, and pharmaceutical distribution.
Earlier in his career, Eric was a credit analyst in CIBC’s leveraged finance group and worked at CIBC, Morgan Stanley and ClearPar in the origination and management of syndicated loans.
Eric holds a CFA Charter and holds a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from SUNY-Albany, with a major in Finance and Management Information Systems.
