Colin Adams brings more than 20 years of diverse experience in the restructuring sector. With a background in finance, investment and law, he has led complex financial restructurings in the U.S. and Europe as both an advisor and as a principal.
Most recently, Colin was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley in New York City and London where he built and led a special situations group. Colin was also a member of Morgan Stanley’s Fixed Income Lending Management & Credit Commitments Committees.
Between 2009 and 2010, Colin was a Managing Director at Citadel Securities in New York City. During this time, he provided financial advisory services to companies and creditor groups.
Prior to Citadel, Colin was a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP in New York City, where he was responsible for all aspects of debtor representations — using both in and out-of-court strategies. Colin regularly represented secured lenders, bondholders, equity sponsors, and investors in numerous restructuring situations with a focus on fraudulent conveyance and preference litigation, and the treatment of environmental, labor and pension claims in chapter 11 bankruptcies and restructurings.

Colin is the Secretary and General Counsel of Reserve Aid, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to helping veterans and their families, and is currently a director of Play Rugby USA. Colin earned his J.D. degree from the UCLA School of Law in 1999 and received an A.B. in Economics & History from Duke University in 1996. Colin is admitted to the bar in the State of New York.
