Brian Griffith has more than 20 years of finance and advisory experience including M&A diligence, operational improvement and distressed situations. His experience ranges from short-term profit improvement roles to multi-year advisory assignments in numerous industries, which include financial services, retail, real estate development, healthcare, energy, consumer products, manufacturing, automotive and food services.
Prior to joining M-III Partners, Brian spent two years as an independent advisor to companies in transition, serving as the Chief Restructuring Officer of Yoostar Entertainment Group and as an independent consultant to Springleaf Financial, Inc., where he lead a number of cost reduction and management initiatives.
Prior to 2013, Brian was a Managing Director at Loughlin Meghji + Co. where he was involved in the restructuring of Capmark Financial Group, Inc., numerous real estate development deals, life-settlement portfolio resolutions and other transactions. He also advised Berkadia Commercial Mortgage (a Berkshire Hathaway portfolio company) on process improvement and cost reduction initiatives. He also advised an institutional investor on a merger integration assignment for two healthcare companies.
Prior to 2008, Brian worked for CCV, FTI Consulting and Ernst & Young, LLP advising stakeholders in turnarounds, as well as providing transaction advisory services.
Brian earned an M.B.A from Fordham University and received a B.S. degree in Marketing from Villanova University. He is a Certified Insolvency & Restructuring Advisor (CIRA) and is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.
